Flawless Consulting 1 Online
Flawless Consulting 1 Online consists of 3, 2-2 ½ sessions utilizing the latest in interactive web conferencing technology. The workshop is limited to 10 participants. It is designed to introduce parts of Peter Block’s Flawless Consulting Contracting onsite workshop. In these highly interactive sessions, participants will spend a great deal of time in smaller breakouts practicing skills as well as instructor-led role plays.
Session 1- Flawless Consulting Goals and Phases/Walkthrough. In this first session of the series after a lecture on the goals and phases of the Flawless Consulting model, participants will practice in real time the entire Flawless Consulting model with a partner.
Session 2-Consultant Role Orientation/Exchange of Wants/Assertiveness. In this session, participants will have completed the sample inventory and will discuss, through a variety of breakout rooms, the strength and weaknesses of each orientation. Participants will plan for an initial contracting meeting and will role play with the facilitator the opening of a meeting and exchange of wants.
Session 3-Getting Unstuck/Resistance/Consulting Strengths. In this session participants will learn how to handle consulting situations where agreement cannot be reached and also understand the nature of resistance, as well as practice naming resistance. Participants will either then plan and conduct an entire contracting meeting or plan a future contracting meeting and discuss consulting strengths including contracting with the boss.
